Cease all thy toils;
Rest thine hands upon the tools of thy trade and take a brief pause from thy travails all ye wonderful beings;
For we hath a clamor to make upon thine ears;
And we beseech thee to hearken to the clarion call that we make;
For we make it in earnest:
THE GREAT RUN IS BACK!
Yes, five years on the trot and our project is still running. And we do mean OUR project because the Great Run is as much you beautiful participants and supporters as it is we humble organizers, perhaps more. Raise your glasses, ladies and gentlemen; together we have reached our fifth anniversary. We are only just getting warmed up. Long live The Great Run!
A month from now we stage our next event, the Great Run Vol. Ix, or The Great Run 9th Edition, whichever way you may want to call it. I prefer to call it The Great Run: Origins because the event this time is slated to pass through the rural home area of one of us. Take a guess who.
Without further ado (and to keep things relevant), here are the details of the upcoming event:

The protocol is as usual. Click on the "Register" tab above, fill in the blanks (accurately please), pay the registration fee and you're in! The usual merchandise is currently in production and we will be sure to let you know when the collection date is due. Also, keep checking the page for regular updates as the event draws nearer.
Just to be clear: the turn-off at Flyover is exactly the one you think it is; the left turn just before Total Petrol Station at the cusp of the escarpment. It takes you round, up and over across the A104.
As for now, we don't have much to say besides thank you, thank you, thank YOU!! We have got to this point together and we will go even further together. The Great Run 9 is upon us, and The Great Run Lives. So clear your schedules, mark your diaries and LET'S DO THIS!
The Great Run.
